Life Skills

All I need to know about home ownership, I learned from my basement:

1. Don't get too comfy after your big sewage flood and the deep cleaning that followed. Because you'll get to do it again in a month. Here's why...

2. Fingerprint dust is forever. And ever. And ever, and ever, and ever, and ever. Even 36 Swiffer pads and two bottles of cleanser will not begin to get it all. And that's not talking about the two bottles of Kirkland cleaning wipes used on every other surface. Oh, and all the blankets, pillows, sheets, etc, that will need three rinses.

3.Glass windows in a walk-out basement door are not a good idea. Plexi-panels that are all but bullet-proof are.

4. Spiders, house centipedes, and nasty camel crickets LOVE to play peek-a-boo. Even when dead.

5. Just because you can shut the door on the basement doesn't mean the toys will put themselves away. Or clean themselves. Or the throw the said dead bugs hidden in their princessy folds in the garbage...

Wow. You've been through a lot! Bet you lived back here with us, because either the squirrels or raccoons would have scared any burglar off!!
Hope you guys are all right, sounds like it could have been a lot worse.
How was Thanksgiving with your special guests?
Love you guys.

Sippy cups with six month old milk like to play peek a boo occasionally too.

Ugg! Honestly, that's got to be the worst thing ever. I'm so sorry about the mishap.
