Tropical Storm Hanna (once Hurricane Hanna) is making landfall today and will make it's way up to Maryland starting Saturday morning. My poor benighted garden... The girls are all nervous they are going to be sucked up to OZ and I'm nervous we'll lose power and we'll have to sleep w/o white noise and a/c. Talk about perspective! Wish us luck...

ooh, good luck! maybe by the time it gets to you it will be a nice summer shower.
It's hitting us down here in North Carolina too. We're supposed to get winds up to 50 mph all day tomorrow. Michael has turned into a weather freak - he's been watching the weather channel nonstop tonight.
J thought it would be funny if Hanna made it up to Montana.
Guess we'll have to keep waiting for the big one!! ;) I'm sure everyone in the area has the bottled water all ready to go!
thanks for everything today -- it was great to see you all! Talk to you soon...
So how did your garden fair? We got a good taste of it up here too. I hear you about the white noise. Our power did go off at 3:15 and didn't come back on until about 8:15. But no white noise wasn't the worst of it. When power is interrupted, our alarm goes off in the house. This was so fun to wake up to at 3am and again at 8. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. We are thinking about the conference weekend thing. Sounds fun.
