Remember these two cuties? Sedona and her BFFAEAEAEA (Best Friend Forever And Ever, etc)
In February, Derek had a conference in Maryland, so Sedona tagged along.
Still trying to figure out who took this shot--but it looks cool. Maybe it's a Sedona-stealth-special....
Judging by the ear to ear grin, Sedona appreciated the welcoming committee!

The irony of the situation was that while Utah was enjoying 50F weather, Maryland was being buried alive in snow. Kids being kids, meant they had no problem making the most of it...
I think, like most snowball fights, nobody won. Or everybody did. Depends on if you're a glass half-full or half-empty kind of person...
Derek had to take lots of Benedryl because of the cats, so he was caught snoozing at random moments.
Sedona & her besty and their kindergarten teacher. I can't believe they are both about to finish 6th grade! Seems like yesterday that they were learning to read and bonding together.
If there's one thing these girls all like to get together and do, it's craft. They made some pretty fabulous popsicle stick people, complete with mermaid tails and long tresses.
Musn't forget the endless Wii games. I've never heard them so animated as when they are playing together.
They drove by our old house and reminisced about times walking through the forest and playing with neighborhood friends.
Derek got to visit the Baltimore aquarium and see some truly exotic fish--something we never got around to doing while we lived there.
While Sedona took endless pictures of her friend's cats. At least it's a few hundred less than last year's visit... :)
All good things must come to an end, and it was finally time to say goodbye and see you later.
Thankfully the two will meet up again this summer. We're so lucky to be able to keep in touch despite the thousands of miles separating us all!
