Yes, I'm that kind of mother...

1. When faced with a toddler who has fallen into a small garbage can while trying to reach a beloved pet bird, do you:

a. Drop everything and rush to their aid, wiping their tears, and playing with them until they cheer up?
b. Hurry and finish loading the dishwasher, then pull the kid from the $#%@$ garbage can and hope they learned a lesson?
c. Grab the camera and try to get all the good angles, then make sure you tell everyone you talk to on phone about your silly kid?

 2. You hear your little daughter yelling from her bedroom.  Upon arrival, you find she has pulled out all the blankets of the bottom shelf of a very deep, narrow shelving unit, and then wedged herself in.  She is trying desperately to turn her neck around because she is facing the back of the shelf and her body is blocking all the light.  Do you:

a. Carefully, but quickly pull her from the space she's wedged into, read her books until she is happy again, then take her to get ice cream?
b.Leave her in the unit for about 5 more minutes to make sure she learned her lesson, then pull her out and leave her to calm herself?
c. Get your camera, and take a quick shot, then realize you're seeing tears & major sadness through the viewfinder and rescue her from the big bad cave?

3. Your one-year-old, who is yet quadrupedal, has figured out how to climb the bench to get to the piano.  One day, you turn to his incessant whining only to find that he is hanging onto the window sill that connects the living & sun rooms.  He is clearly not stuck or injured, but greatly desires to go through the window as his older sisters do.  Do you:

a. Quickly take him to his ball pit and interest him in a different game, playing with him until lunchtime?
b. Help him over, hoping he'll make his way down the couch without hitting his noggin on the sides or the marble coffee table?
c. Get the camera since the lighting is excellent, and be sure to get shots of his frustration as he tries to pull himself over?  And don't forget to get when he gives up and climbs onto the piano to get to the laptop behind it?
I know you all are thinking that I'm one of those A type moms, but you might be surprised that my first instinct is to document their mishaps.  It'll be a miracle if this doesn't self-select me from the gene pool.
